Scottish Ancestral Ways has been launched to fill a gap in the services available to family historians all over the world.
Family History is more than collecting names and dates. Once you have verified an ancestor you will want to learn more about them; what I like to call 'fleshing out the bones'. When I find a new member of my tree I want to walk the streets that they walked, visit the places where they lived and worked, find their burial site and take photographs of all these places. Now this facility is available to everyone. You may not be able to visit personally maybe due to cost of travel or other committments. Now there is a service to make the visits and take the pictures for you.
Based in Fife on the east coast of Scotland we are ideally located to visit locations all over mainland Scotland and the north of England.
Our occasional email newletter will give news of intended visits to a selectiion of locations, and news of recent visits.
Launched in summer 2010, Ancestral Ways offers a range of services to the overseas family historian.
